Introduction

What is Kardinal Stick?

Kardinal Stick is a line of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), also known as e-cigarettes, designed for ease of use and optimised to help adult smokers lead a smoke-free lifestyle. Kardinal’s products include disposables and closed-pod systems.

What are disposables?

Disposables are one-off, noncommittal vape devices meant for single use only. While rechargeable, once the device’s prefilled e-liquid is depleted, the device can’t be refilled for reuse. Kardinal’s dispos provide up to 800, 2000, and 5000 puffs, depending on the product.

What are closed-pod systems?

A closed-pod system comprises the device itself and a series of prefilled e-liquid pods (or KSpods) sold separately that can be inserted into the device for use. This ensures a more lasting experience for users who are in it for the long haul. Kardinal’s closed-pod systems are compatible with KSpods.

What are KSpods?

KSpods are Kardinal’s proprietary prefilled e-liquid pods made from FDA-approved food-grade materials. Using a next-gen ceramic mesh coil system called ceraKoil™, these pods feature higher thermal efficiency for longer use, nanoscale ceramic micropores for better flavour intensity, and advanced ultrasonic cleaning technology for zero impurity. KSpods come in 2ml and 2.5ml editions, with their compatibility dependent on the closed-pod system of your choice.

What is e-liquid?

E-liquid is the liquid vaporised by the heating element in a vape device, producing an aerosol commonly referred to as vapour. This vapour is then inhaled by the user, acting as a delivery system for the nicotine and flavours contained in the liquid.

What's in the e-liquid contained in KSpod, Quik, and Kardinal Artisan?

KSpods, Quik, and Kardinal Artisan contain e-liquid made from a proprietary mixture of ingredients. They include: glycerol, propylene glycol, flavouring, and nicotine. Flavouring can be a mixture of both natural and artificial ingredients, which provide the specific taste profile in each KSpod and Quik or Kardinal Artisan disposable.

Do any of the Kardinal Stick e-liquids contain THC and Vitamin E Acetate?

No. Kardinal does not incorporate THC and Vitamin E Acetate into our e-liquids.

What makes Kardinal Stick unique?

To help existing adult smokers transition to a smoke-free lifestyle, Kardinal Stick delivers high-quality nicotine salts formula with smart temperature regulation technology. This heats the material to an optimum level of vaporisation for efficient and satisfying nicotine delivery.
Kardinal Stick also mirrors the simplicity that smokers are accustomed to, making the transition from smoking cigarettes almost seamless.

Is vaping really a healthier alternative to smoking?

While vaping isn’t entirely risk-free, it is considerably less harmful than cigarettes. Studies have also shown that vaping is highly effective in helping adult smokers quit the habit. Some have shown that vaping is even more effective than Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). Read more on this topic via National Health Service and Cochrane Review.

What are the devices made by Kardinal Stick?

To date, Kardinal’s closed-pod systems include Kurve, Kurve 2, Kurve Lite, Kurve Lite 2, and Lumina. Meanwhile, disposable devices include Quik and Kardinal Artisan. Kardinal also produces KSpods in 2ml and 2.5ml editions.

Kardinal Stick Basics

How do I get started with my closed-pod system?

Make sure your device is fully charged before use. Remove the silicone cap from the KSpod, insert it into your device, and gently inhale.

How do I get started with my disposable device?

Ensure your device is already fully charged and simply draw from the mouthpiece.

How do I turn on my device?

No buttons or switches are required to turn on your device. It’s ready for use anytime.

Can I lock my device?

Kurve 2 and Lumina are equipped with a buttonless child lock system. Simply tap the USB-C port 5 times to lock the device, and another 5 to unlock it.

Are all disposable devices by Kardinal rechargeable?

No. Only Quik 2000, Quik 5000, and Kardinal Artisan are rechargeable.

How do I clean my closed-pod system?

Kardinal Stick closed-pod systems are easy to maintain. If condensation occurs, clean the charge contacts and the inside of the device with a cotton bud.

What’s the best way to store my device?

Don’t store a Kardinal Stick device for more than two weeks with an empty charge. It’s best to charge the device entirely and remove the KSpod before storage. As with all products containing nicotine, store the device out of reach of children and pets. Do not store the products under direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

I’m travelling by plane, can I take my device onboard?

Kardinal Stick is safe for travel, but use of vaporisers on aeroplanes are generally prohibited. Exposure to extreme altitude changes may cause small amounts of leakage in KSpods, especially if they’re partially used. You can still use a KSpod if some liquid escapes, but carefully wipe it off with a clean cloth or tissue before inserting it into your device.
We would also advise you to check with your local flight carrier first before bringing your device on board.

How long does a charge last?

Depending on your use, a full charge will last about more than a day or as long as one KSpod.

Can I overcharge the battery?

Kardinal Stick’s smart-charge technology is designed to reduce overcharging.

How do I dispose of my device?

Kardinal Stick device should be treated as a consumer electronic device. Follow your country, state, or city’s local recommendations for disposing of a lithium-polymer rechargeable battery.

KSPod Basics

How does the KSpod work?

Our closed-pod devices use a temperature control algorithm designed to deliver the ideal amount of power to the KSpod. The e-liquid is heated using a next-gen ceramic mesh coil system that delivers higher thermal efficiency for longer use, nanoscale ceramic micropores for better flavour intensity, and advanced ultrasonic cleaning technology for zero impurity.

Are all KSpods compatible with all Kardinal Stick devices?

No. The 2.5ml KSpod for Lumina is only compatible with the Lumina device.
For Kurve, Kurve Lite, Kurve 2, and Kurve Lite 2 users, you may opt for the 2ml KSpod for Kurve or KSpod Max.

How much e-liquid is in a KSpod?

A KSpod contains either 2ml or 2.5ml of e-liquid (depending on product), with 3-5% nicotine by weight.

What is in the e-liquid?

Our ingredients include glycerol, propylene glycol, flavours, and nicotine.

What is propylene glycol and why is it necessary in e-liquid?

Propylene Glycol (PG) is a viscous, colourless liquid that possesses a faintly sweet taste despite being odourless. Due to its faint flavour, it is ideal for carrying the flavouring in our e-liquid.

Is it safe to ingest e-liquid?

No. E-liquid is not meant to be ingested. They are only to be consumed in vapour form via vaping. Seek a medical professional in the case of e-liquid ingestion.

How long does a KSpod last?

The number of puffs per KSpod varies by individual usage.

How should I store my KSpods? Do they expire?

KSpods are meant to be used soon after purchase. KSpods don’t expire for at least two years. To help ensure the quality of the KSpods, store them unopened at room temperature in a dry environment and out of reach of children and pets.

How do I dispose of KSpod?

KSpods should be recycled along with other e-waste.

Can I open or refill my KSpod?

To ensure product quality, KSpods are not designed for refills or reuse and should not be opened.

Where do I find the Batch Code on my KSpods?

The KSpod 12 digits Batch Code is on the bottom of the packaging.

Troubleshooting

How to charge a Kardinal Stick device?

To charge your Kardinal Stick device, plug in the USB Type-C charging cable into the device charging port.
Your Kardinal Stick device is charging when the LED lights pulse white. You’ll know your device is charged when the lights stop pulsing and is solid white. You can still charge a Kardinal Stick device with a KSpod inserted into the device, but it is not necessary.

My Kardinal Stick is not charging properly.

If your Kardinal Stick device is charging, the white light will pulse when connected to the power supply. If the white light is not pulsing, try the following steps:

  • Try to plug in the device to see if it makes a clear connection with the power supply via the USB cable.
  • Switch to a different power source, either a USB wall adapter or a laptop USB port.
  • In case of residue, gently clean the charging port contacts on the bottom of your Kardinal Stick device using a dry cotton bud.
How to clean a Kardinal Stick device?

Kardinal Stick devices are easy to maintain. If condensation occurs, clean the charge contacts and the inside of the device with a cotton bud. If small amounts of liquid enter the air path, remove the KSpod from the Kardinal Stick device and wipe it clean with a tissue before reinserting it.
While cleaning your Kardinal Stick products, do not open or take apart the Kardinal Stick device or KSpods. You do not need to clean the battery in the device or the coil in the KSpods.

Why is my KSpod leaking when I use it?

If your KSpod leaks, remove the KSpod and wipe off the liquid before inserting it back into the device. Small amounts of leakage and condensation are common, and they may recur but shouldn’t continue to leak during regular use.

There was some moisture on the inside of my KSpod pack. What should I do?

Humidity and high altitudes can cause moisture or leakage in KSpod packaging. KSpods are still usable even if there is a small leak. Carefully wipe the liquid off with a clean cloth or tissue before inserting it into your device. If the leakage is excessive and continues to leak, avoid using the product and let us know.

My Kardinal Stick is not producing vapour.

Use a dry cotton swab to clean the contact pins inside the Kardinal Stick device and on the KSpod. This should restore the connection between the KSpod and the device if any moisture has been in contact with them.

Why is my Kardinal Stick device vibrating every 5 minutes?

If you are using Kurve 2 or Lumina, this might be due to the built-in Smart Pace Alert system. Your device will lightly vibrate when you’ve taken 12 puffs within just 5 minutes in order to remind you to slow down your intake.

Quality & Manufacturing

Where is Kardinal Stick made?

Kardinal Stick products are designed in Malaysia and manufactured domestically and internationally under the supervision of our talented engineering team.

What materials are Kardinal Stick devices and KSpods made of?

The Kardinal Stick high grade aluminium alloy shell encases a lithium-ion battery, a circuit board, and a pressure sensor; all separate from the vapour path and liquid. KSpods are made with heat resistant, food grade PCTG plastics and next-gen ceramic mesh coil system.

Do Kardinal Stick products contain tobacco?

Kardinal Stick is different from the heated tobacco category. Instead of containing tobacco to be heated, our e-liquids contain nicotine salts.

What kind of battery is in the device?

Kardinal Stick uses a lithium-ion polymer battery. All portable electronics containing lithium-ion batteries present rare but potentially serious safety hazards, especially under extreme temperature conditions.

Will the magnets inside the device affect other electronics?

Kardinal Stick uses embedded magnets for holding the device securely in place with the KSpod to prevent a fall-out. Many electronic devices with magnets may affect each other. Kardinal Stick should also be kept away from keycards, credit cards, and other items with magnetic strips.
